From Stewart Coggin, your Guide to World Soccer
With the title sown up by Manchester United on Monday and two of the relegation places already taken up by Reading and Queens Park Rangers, the race for the Champions League places forms one of the most interesting subplots of the Premier League season. At the time of writing, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are separated by just one point heading into the final three weeks of the season. The two Manchester clubs will take the top two and it will be a fight to the finish for the remaining pair. I profile the three clubs in this week's newsletter.

The psychology inside your players`head

Hi Soccerbasic,

The role of player's psychology in youth soccer coaching has
grown in importance over the past few years.

trained in this field can make out the psychological weaknesses
in the mental make-up of a player to counsel him or her in such
a way that the player gets into a position where he can constantly
play at his optimal level of performance...

From Stewart Coggin, your Guide to World Soccer
This week I look at five of the best books and magazines available to soccer fans. Although the Internet virtually meets our every whim, there is still a wealth of literature available to buy. I must confess at this point that I own every single copy of World Soccer magazine dating back to August 1997, but there are several other high quality magazines on the market, and some top drawer books too.

Books
Who needs fiction when the world of soccer packs so much drama and intrigue? Here are the best books out there on the beautiful game from North London to Brazil, without forgetting Holland and a tiny village in Italy... Read more

Magazines
Internet coverage of the sport has almost reached saturation point with a plethora of websites to quench the thirst of even the most obsessive soccer fan. But it is unhealthy to be sitting in front of a computer screen 24-7, so here is a list of the best soccer magazines available... Read more

The culture of soccer fans is as much a part of the beautiful game as what goes on in 90 minutes on the field. Here is a guide to how people root for their teams, some fan traditions, and the most famous pop culture references.
