From Stewart Coggin, your Guide to World Soccer
This week I look at five of the best books and magazines available to soccer fans. Although the Internet virtually meets our every whim, there is still a wealth of literature available to buy. I must confess at this point that I own every single copy of World Soccer magazine dating back to August 1997, but there are several other high quality magazines on the market, and some top drawer books too.

Books
Who needs fiction when the world of soccer packs so much drama and intrigue? Here are the best books out there on the beautiful game from North London to Brazil, without forgetting Holland and a tiny village in Italy... Read more

Magazines
Internet coverage of the sport has almost reached saturation point with a plethora of websites to quench the thirst of even the most obsessive soccer fan. But it is unhealthy to be sitting in front of a computer screen 24-7, so here is a list of the best soccer magazines available... Read more

From Stewart Coggin, your Guide to World Soccer
The Champions League group stages kick-off on Tuesday, meaning the fantasy competition also starts in earnest. Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are among the most popular players on the official uefa.com game, but my tips for each position also point you in the direction of some other lesser known players who could do well. Afterall, with a budget of 100 million euros to spend on a 15-man squad, managers will not be able to afford a superstar in every position.

As the game gets underway, I look at some of the less obvious selections who could flourish in this season's competition... Read more

From Stewart Coggin, your Guide to World Soccer
This week I move away from the professional game to look at the role of parents in soccer. There are certain steps you can take to help your child flourish on the soccer field and, most importantly, enjoy the game. But there are also fatal mistakes a parent can make which only inhibit the child, rather than encourage them.

How to be a Good Soccer Parent
The influence of a good soccer parent in developing a child's game cannot be understated.

The Bad Soccer Parent
As a soccer parent, you may harbor hopes that your child will make it as a professional, or you at least want them to perform to the best of their abilities. But a bad soccer parent has the potential to take all the fun out of the game for a child.
